Through 3D printing, we are able to bring sand into any shape you can imagine.
Our patented process enables us to meet the wishes of our customers in any form. The manufacturing process in 3D printing is not bound to conventional restrictions such as undercuts or quantities. The resulting flexibility allows the production of unique individual pieces, which we pass on to our customers with the greatest care.
Our manufacturing process
First comes the design. Before a sink can be printed, the form must be decided down to the smallest detail. The designer constructs a 1:1 model.
Since our washbasins are made of the finest bavarian quartz sand, special qualities - similar to those on some beaches - are required. This "raw material" is delivered in large bags.
The next step: The sand goes into our 3D printer. The principle: similar to that on any ordinary printer, but with one more dimension, i.e. spatial. The special print head penetrates layer by layer into a form. First a layer of sand, then stabilizing adhesive, then sand again, etc. Gradually the three-dimensional object is created.
The designs and patterns of our products are often fine and rather filigree. This is why sand particles remain on the object after "printing". They must be completely removed with compressed air for the following work steps.
In order to guarantee the scratch resistance of the washbasins, the coating is applied as a final step. With the coating we also apply the color that has been chosen by our customers. .
